Question : RAIL LINE FROM BARMER TO ABU ROAD

(a) whether the Railways have any proposal to construct rail line form Barmer to Abu Road via Sanchor-Ranivada;

(b) if so, the details thereof alongwith the budgetary allocation for the project;

(c) if not, the reasons therefor; and

(d) the steps taken by the Railways in this regard?

(b): Does not arise.

(c) & (d): Barmer and Abu Road are already connected by broad gauge railway line via Marwar. No such survey for the new line from Barmer to Abu Road via Raniwara has been taken up.
