(a) whether the Government has any mechanism to evaluate the quality of text books of private publishers prescribed by CBSE affiliated schools in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) whether this is likely to ensure that the books are in consonance with the National Curriculum Framework and if so, the details thereof?

(a) : There is no mechanism to evaluate the quality of text books of private publishers. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has no mandate to prescribe or recommend the textbooks of Private Publishers in CBSE affiliated schools. Government is very firm on promoting NCERT textbooks in CBSE affiliated schools.
(b) and (c) : Do not arise.
