MINISTER OF STATE OF THE MINISTRY OF NON-CONVENTIONAL ENERGY SOURCES (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) (SHRI VILAS MUTTEMWAR)

(a) & (b): Under its Remote Village Electrification Programme, the Ministry provides a Central Financial Assistance of upto 90% of the project costs subject to laid down benchmarks, for electrification through non-conventional energy sources, of those unelectrified, remote census villages, where grid connectivity is either not feasible or not cost effective. This rate of Central Financial Assistance is applicable for all the States and Union Territories including the state of Chhattisgarh. No proposal of Chhattisgarh for electrification of villages through non-conventional energy sources is pending with the Ministry.
