MINISTER OF STATE FOR LABOUR & PARLIAMENTARY AFFAIRS (SHRI SANTOSH GANGWAR)

(a) to (d) Yes, Sir. 50 million employment opportunities at the rate of 10 million per year are being targetted during Tenth Five Year Plan. Out of these, 30 million will have to come through normal growth process and remaining 20 million are proposed to be generated through special employment generation programmes.

As per this survey, estimated employment in the country on current daily status basis was of the order of 336.75 million.
