(a) whether Ministry of Tribal Affairs has any mechanism to monitor the utilization of funds
for the Welfare of Scheduled Tribes by the various Ministries;
(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(c) the steps taken or proposed to be taken in this regard?

(a) to (c) No, Madam. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, like various other Administrative
Ministries, is required to monitor the utilization of funds for the schemes/programmes which
flow from the subjects allocated under Government of India (Allocation of Business Rules) 1961.
Under these Rules, the sectoral programmes/schemes for the welfare of Scheduled Tribes,
including monitoring their financial performance, is the responsibility of the concerned
Central Ministry/Department.
