(A) THE NUMBER OF PROPOSALS RECOMMENDED BY THE KARNATAKA GOVERNMENT FOR SANCTION UNDER CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAMME;

(b) the number of projects sanctioned, location-wise alongwith the amount released for the purpose ;

(c) the steps proposed to be taken for the clearance of remaining projects; and

(d) the number of new continuing education proposals received from the State during 2002-2003?

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT (PROF. RITA VERMA)

(a) A total of 28 proposals were recommended by Karnataka State Literacy Mission Authority for sanction under the Continuing Education Programme.

(b) 23 proposals have been sanctioned. The district-wise details of projects sanctioned so far are enclosed.

(c) The accounts for the remaining 5 districts of Belgaum, Hassan, Dharwar, Gulbarga and Gadag have not yet been settled.

(d) No new proposals under the Continuing Education Programme have been received from Karnataka during 2002-2003.
