(a) to (c): The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India has been implementing the following schemes across the country including in the State of Maharashtra for development of fisheries, animal husbandry and dairy sector:
(i) Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY),
(ii) Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund (FIDF),
(iii) Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM),
(iv) National Livestock Mission (NLM),
(v) National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD),
(vi) Dairy Processing and Infrastructure Development Fund (DIDF),
(vii) Supporting Dairy Cooperatives and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO)
(viii) Entrepreneurship Development and Employment Generation (EDEG), and
(ix) Livestock Health and Disease Control Programme (LHDCP).
The State-wise details of central funds sanctioned for the projects approved for development of fisheries, dairy and animal husbandry sectors and number of beneficiaries benefitted under the Centrally Sponsored Schemes during the last three years are furnished at Annexure-I to Annexure-V.
(d) and (e): The average annual growth rate of fisheries, animal husbandry and dairy sectors was registered at 8.89%, 7.64% and 6.20% respectively during the period of five years from 2016-17 to 2020-21. The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India through various schemes has been complementing and supplementing the efforts of the State Governments/Union Territories (UTs) for promotion and development of animal husbandry, dairy and fisheries sectors and in achieving the sustained and higher growth in these sectors. The central funds under various demand driven Central Sectors/ Centrally Sponsored Schemes are released based on the viable proposals received from the States/UTs. Further, review meetings, workshops, seminars, trainings, awareness/ outreach programs are also conducted regularly at the National and Regional levels to promote the fisheries and animal husbandry sectors in the country and also to ensure speedy implementation of the schemes.
