(a) the details of Channelizing Agencies for the National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation(NSKFDC), appointed by the States/UTs as on date;
(b) the number of beneficiaries of NSKFDC schemes in various States and UTs during the last three years; and
(c) the reasons for wide variations in the number of beneficiaries among different States/UTs and the steps taken by the Government to address the issue?

(a): National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation (NSKFDC) implements its schemes in 28 States/UTs. The details of the Channelizing Agencies nominated by the State/ UTs as on date are enclosed at Annexure-A.
(b): The number of beneficiaries of NSKFDC schemes in various States and UTs during the last three years is 62333. The State/ Year wise details of the beneficiaries are enclosed at Annexure-B.
(c): Number of beneficiaries vary from State to State, since all States/UTs do not send demand for release of funds or send proposals for benefiting a small number of beneficiaries. Also certain States are unable to avail of NSKFDC funds because, they do not adhere to prudential norms for drawing funds from NSKFDC.
NSKFDC has started implementation of its schemes through Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) and Public Sector Banks (PSBs) to increase the number of beneficiaries.
