(a) whether the Government has any plan to regularize all the unauthorized colonies in urban cities specially in Delhi/ NCR, Purnea in Bihar and Ambedkar Nagar in the near future;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 48* FOR ANSWER ON 06.02.2018 REGARDING REGULARIZATION OF UNAUTHORIZED COLONIES
(a) to (c) : Urban Development is a State subject, therefore, regularization of Unauthorized Colonies (UCs) in States, including the National Capital Region lies within the purview of the concerned State Government(s). As regards Delhi, the Central Government has notified under Section 57 of Delhi Development Act, 1957, Regulations for Regularization of Unauthorized Colonies in Delhi on 24.03.2008. This Notification as amended on 16.06.2008, 06.06.2012 and 01.01.2015 enjoins the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) to coordinate and supervise the entire process of regularization of Unauthorized Colonies in Delhi.
