(a) The Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub Plan (SCA to TSP) is given by the
Ministry of Tribal Affairs to 21 Tribal Sub-Plan States with the objective of
filling the critical gaps in the family-based employment-cum-income generation
activities and the infrastructure incidental thereto not only family-based, but also
run by the Self-Help Groups (SHGs)/Community. The ultimate objective of
extending SCA to TSP is to boost the demand based income-generation
programmes and thus raise the economic and social status of tribals.
(b) During the current financial year, an amount of Rs.497.00 crore has been
budgeted for the SCA to TSP.
