(a) The Government is implementing various schemes for the welfare and upliftment of every section of the society including minorities especially economically weaker & downtrodden sections all over the country with schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM KISAN), Pradhan Mantri UjjwalaYojana (PMUY), Pradhan Mantri AwasYojana (PMAY), Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana, etc.
Ministry of Minority Affairs also implements programmes/ schemes for socio-economic and educational empowerment of the six (6) centrally notified minority communities namely Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis and Jains.
As per the Census 2011, the percentage of minorities in the country is about 19.3% of the total population of the country. The population of Muslims are 14.2%; Christians 2.3%; Sikhs 1.7%, Buddhists 0.7%, Jain 0.4% and Parsis 0.006%. In addition to the other schemes of various ministries for socio- economic and educational empowerment which also benefits the minority communities, around 20% of the people from the total population of the Minority communities have been benefitted from the schemes being implemented by this Ministry during the last 7 years i.e. from 2014-15 to 2020-21.
(b) No, Sir. The benefits of the welfare schemes meant for the minority communities are being availed of the by the beneficiaries.
(c) Scheme wise details of funds released for the implementation of various Schemes in the State of Haryana during the last three years and the current year as on 30.6.2021 are at Annexure.
(d) As per proposal received from different PIAs, funds for 510 trainees has been released for training in Nuh district of Haryana during financial year 2020-21 under Seekho Aur Kamao Scheme of this Ministry. Employment is an integral part of the scheme. The scheme ensures 75% of placement of target allocation but the details of employment are obtained at the time of release of 3rd and final instalment.
