Question : TRAINING TO NALCO ENGINEERS



(a) whether a large number of NALCO engineers/officers were sent abroad for training during the Eight and Ninth Plan period;

(b) if so, whether a number out of them have left the job;

(c) whether any period of compulsory serving the sponsoring NALCO is fixed while sending them abroad for training;

(d) if so, the details thereof;

(e) if not, the reasons therefor; and

(f) whether any money is taken from them at the time of leaving NALCO and if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) During the Eight and Ninth Plan period fortysix engineers/officers were sent for training abroad by NALCO. Out of them only two have left the job.

(c), (d) & (e) Since the duration for the training abroad was less than six months no compulsory serving period was fixed by NALCO while sending officers/engineers for training abroad.

(f)No money was taken from them at the time of leaving NALCO.
