Question : NHS IN MAHARASHTRA



(a) the length of each National Highway (NH) in Maharashtra including four and six lane highways;

(b) the number and names of highways connected with Golden Quadrilateral;

(c) whether work on any of the aforesaid NH is in progress; and

(d) if so, the details thereof along with the delay in work on any of the aforesaid NH and the reaction of the Government?

(a) The length of each National Highway (NH) in Maharashtra is enclosed at annexure A

(b) The National Highway No-8 (Delhi-Mumbai) & NH-No-4 (Mumbai-Chennai) is connected with Golden Quadrilateral.

(c) & (d) Yes, Madam. The work of 6-laning of Pune - Satara on NH-4 is in progress. This work is delayed due to inadequate planning & deployment of resources by the Concessionaire and delay in Forest Diversion & Land acquisition.
