(a) to (c) Namami Gange Programme has been launched as a holistic approach to clean Ganga through various activities such as treatment of municipal sewage, treatment of industrial effluent, river surface cleaning, rural sanitation, afforestation & biodiversity conservation etc. Since inception of the project a total of 155 projects costing approx Rs.12423.63 crore have been sanctioned. Out of 155 projects, 41 numbers of projects have been completed so far. In last three years, 78 projects have been sanctioned and an amount of about Rs. 1950 crore has been spent.
