Question : SAATHI Initiative

(a) the number of States in which the System for Assessment, Awareness & Training for Hospitality Industry (SAATHI) Initiative in collaboration with Union Government has been implemented at present;
(b) the number of hotels that have self-certified themselves under the Initiative and the details thereof, State-wise;
(c) the number of interactive webinars that have been undertaken and the details thereof, State-wise;
(d) the number of hotels that have been site assessed till now and the details thereof, State-wise; and
(e) the plan to extend this initiative beyond the COVID-19 pandemic to continue operations safely and remove risks?

STATEMENT IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (e) OF LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. *354 ANSWERED ON 28.03.2022 REGARDING SAATHI INITIATIVE

(a) & (b): The System for Assessment, Awareness & Training for Hospitality Industry (SAATHI) has been implemented in all States and Union Territories. The State-wise number of units that have self-certified themselves under the above initiative is given at Annexure I.

(c): 20 interactive webinars have been conducted with 1185 participants. The webinars were open to participants from all States and Union Territories. This is a continuous process. The State-wise details of number of participants are given at Annexure II.

(d): The number of hotels that have been site-assessed till now and the State-wise details are given at Annexure III.

(e): The initiative will continue to assist the hospitality industry in their preparedness to continue operations safely and mitigate risks both present and future.
