Question : SELLING OF CSD ITEMS IN OPEN MARKET

(a) whether the Government is aware that items of C.S.D. are sold in the open market in addition to these canteens particularly in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether any enquiry has been conducted by the Government in this regard; and

(d) if so, the outcome thereof and the action taken thereon?

(a) The Government is aware of a recent incident of alleged illegal sale of Canteen Stores Department items in a few shops in civil market in Bareilly (UP).

(b) to (d): An enquiry has already been ordered by the local military authorities to find out the details and take appropriate action.
