Question : Fake Advertisement for Internship Scheme

(a) whether a large number of websites attracting youths for providing employment through Internship Scheme have been operating in various parts of the country;

(b) if so, the details in this regard;

(c) whether these websites have been exploiting youths in various parts of the country; and

(d) if so, the details of cases of frauds from such websites reported and the number of operators of such websites identified so far in various States?

(a) to (d): ‘Police’ and ‘Public order’ are State subjects as per the 7th Schedule of the Constitution of India. States/UTs are primarily responsible for prevention, detection, investigation and prosecution of crimes through their law enforcement machinery. The Law Enforcement Agencies take legal action as per provisions of law against the cyber fraud offenders. Data relating to operation of websites attracting youths for providing employment through Internship Scheme, is not maintained centrally.
