Question : Stoppage of Trains

(a) the present status of passenger amenities at all platforms of Dalsingh Sarai Railway Station;

(b) the steps taken by the Railways to provide all amenities/facilities at such platforms;

(c) whether the Railways proposes to agree to the long pending demand of the local public for providing stoppage to Amrapali express, Jainagar-Delhi Gareeb Rath, Darbhanga-Puri Express and Ranchi-Jainagar Express;

(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and

(e) the time by which a final decision is likely to be taken in this regard?

(a) & (b): Dalsingh Sarai is a ‘B’ category Railway station. It has been provided with waiting hall of area 68 Sqm, shelter of area 414 Sqm, 43 taps/hand pumps, 6 lavatories, 2 urinals, 284 seats and one Foot Over Bridge. In addition, work of construction of 4 urinals has been sanctioned. This infrastructure is considered adequate for the present volume of passenger traffic.
(c) & (d): No, Madam. Stoppage of 15707/15708 Katihar-Amritsar Express and other trains at Dalsingh Sarai is not justified, at present.
(e): Does not arise.
