(a): Since the area comprising the erstwhile Notified Area Committee Manimajra is not a separate administrative unit of the UT Administration, Chandigarh, it is not possible to give the exact break up of tax revenues emanating from the area. However, based on the economic size and data available pertaining to the area it is estimated that about 5% of the tax revenue of Chandigarh Administration comprising Land Revenue, Stamps & Registration, State Excise, Sales Tax, Taxes on Vehicles, Taxes on Goods & Passengers, Taxes & Duties on Electricity etc. originate from the erstwhile Notified Area Committee Manimajra. The income derived by the Municipal Corporation, chandigarh from the area consists of estate receipts. During the last three years estate receipts amounting to Rs. 9.15 crores have been received by the Corporation against which expenditure on land acquisition in the same area during the last three year has been Rs. 7.24 crores.

(b): Services in the area are provided both by the Chandigarh Administration and the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh. An estimated 5 to 10 % of total expenditure incurred by the Chandigarh Administration on Educational and Health Services have been spent in the area comprising erstwhile Notified Area Committee, Manimajra.
