Question : Housing for All Scheme

Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN POVERTY ALLEVIATION be pleased to state:
(a) whether States have undertaken detailed assessment to ascertain the demand of houses to be built under the Housing for All scheme;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State/UTwise including the State of Maharashtra; and
(c) whether the time-frame to complete the process of actual demand of houses has been finalised and if so, the details thereof?

STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 393* FOR 14.12.2016 REGARDING “HOUSING FOR ALL SCHEME”

(a) to (c): As on 08.12.2016, demand of 110,02,231 houses have been assessed by the States/UTs under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Housing for All (Urban) Mission. A demand of 265,061 houses has so far been assessed by the State of Maharashtra under the PMAY (U) Mission.
State-wise details of indicative demand assessment reported by the States/UTs including the State of Maharashtra are at Annexure.
