Question : NH in Tamil Nadu

(a) whether it is a fact that an additional acquisition of 1405 square metre in Survey No. 185/4B in Pinnalur village of Cuddalore district has been pending over the past two years in NH-45C on Vikravandi-Kumbakonam section in Tamil Nadu;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the laying of road has been going on yet to be acquired portion of 1405 square metre land and if so, the details thereof;

(d) whether the Government has any issues in providing acquisition notification without further delay and pay 12% amount on compensation from the date of original notification; and

(e) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) Acquisition of 1405 square meters of additional land in Survey No.185/4B in Pinnalur village, Kurinjipadi Taluk, Cuddalore District in the State of Tamil Nadu is required for construction of Pinnalur Bypass between Km 67/290 to Km 67/376 as part of 4-laning of Sethiyathope – Cholapuram section from Km 65/960 to Km 116/440 of NH-45C. Accordingly, process for notification under section 3A of the NH Act, 1956 has been initiated.

(c) No Madam. However, the work of 4-laning of Sethiyathope – Cholapuram section of NH-45C, has been awarded to M/s. Patel Infrastructure Ltd., who has commenced the work on 16.08.2018.

(d) & (e) The process for notification under section 3A of the NH Act, 1956 has been initiated. The compensation is payable to the land owner as per provisions of RFCTLARR Act, 2013.
