Question : NON SCHEDULED AIR OPERATORS



(a) the number of Non-Scheduled Air Operators (NSOPs) in the country registered with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation;

(b) whether the Government proposes or has any proposal to allow these NSOPs and air charters firms to convert to scheduled operators with a view to promote air connectivity in and out of Tier II and Tier III cities; and

(c) if so, the details and the present status thereof along with the time by which a final decision is likely to be taken in this regard?

(a): As on date 129 companies have been issued Non Scheduled Operator`s Permit by Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

(b) & (c): No decision has yet been taken in this regard.
