Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF RAILWAYS, COMMERCE & INDUSTRY AND
CONSUMER AFFAIRS, FOOD & PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION

(SHRI PIYUSH GOYAL)

(a) & (b): As on 01.04.2020, 101 Road over Bridges (ROBs) and 133 Road Under Bridges (RUBs) are sanctioned by Railway in Bihar. Out of 101 ROBs, Railway portion has been completed in 2 ROBs, work is in progress in 26 ROBs, 48 ROB works are in planning stage, consent of State Govt. is awaited for 25 ROBs and all RUB works are in different stage of implementation.

(c) & (d): Construction of ROB/RUBs depends upon the consent of State Government for closure of LCs and cost sharing, wherever applicable, availability of encroachment free land for approach roads, technical feasibility, shifting of utilities, allocation of adequate funds by State agencies, public support etc. Therefore, it is not feasible to fix timelines for completion of these ROB/RUBs.
