(a) whether the Government has decided to implement the Ajai
Vikram Singh Committee report for Navy and Air Force
Officers;
(b) if so, the number of Officers likely to be benefited as a
result thereof; and
(c) the expenditure likely to be incurred after the implementation
of said report?
MINISTER OF DEFENCE (SHRI PRANAB MUKHERJEE)
(a) The recommendations of Ajai Vikram Singh Committee
report in respect of non-select ranks of Officers of the Navy
and Air Force have been implemented.
(b) 2307 Officers of Navy and 4445 Officers of Air Force
have been promoted to the next higher rank.
(c) The likely expenditure to be incurred per annum is Rs.
18 crores in respect of Navy and Rs. 21.45 crores for the Air
Force.
