(a) to (d): Modernisation of Akashvani is a continuous process and action for the same is taken from time to time. Presently, 177 nos. of projects have been approved for upgradation and expansion of AIR Network during the period 2017-2020. These include projects for setting up of FM transmitters/stations at existing and new locations, replacement of Medium Wave (MW) and Short Wave (SW) transmitters, digitization of studios and Regional News Units etc.
