Question : NATIONAL LAND REFORM COUNCIL

(a) whether the Government is contemplating to constitute National Land Reform Task Force and National Land Reform Council in order to dispose of the land related issues rapidly;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) the details of the constitution of the said Council and the Task Force and the manner in which the said Council and Task force are likely to function; and

(d) the time by which the said Council and the Task Force are likely to be constituted and start functioning?

(a) to(d): Government is not contemplating to constitute “any new National Land Reform Task Force” and “National Land Reform Council”. “The Task Force on Land Reforms” was constituted vide order dated 22.10.2012, 30.10.2012 and 7.01.2013 and submitted its report on 24.07.2013 and the “National Council for Land Reforms” was cons- tituted vide resolution dated 09.01.2008.
