(a) to (c): The Government of India has not issues any consolidated transfer policy in respect of its employees.
All the Ministries / Departments are required to (i) prescribe minimum tenure (ii) having a mechanism akin to Civil Services Board for recommending transfer and (iii) place the transfer policy in public domain.
Respective Ministries/ Departments have their own guidelines for transfer/ posting of their employees depending upon the specific requirements of that Department. Centralized information is not maintained.
Consolidated guidelines exist for posting of husband and wife at the same station, posting of physically handicapped candidates and posting of Government employees who have mentally challenged children.
