Question : Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra

(a) the details of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras established and proposed to be set up, State/UT- wise including Bundelkhand, Assam (District-wise) and Maharashtra (Ratnagiri & Sindhudurg) after the inauguration of the PMKVY;

(b) whether the Government is aware that contract of some of the agencies, appointed to operate PMKKs, State/UT-wise including Bundelkhand and Maharashtra (Ratnagiri & Sindhudurg) have been cancelled recently and if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government is considering or considered to award new contract for starting the closed PMKKs, State/UT-wise including Maharashtra (Ratnagiri & Sindhudurg) and if so, the details thereof;

(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and

(e) whether the Government has received representation from the Member of Parliament for setting up of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra in cluster ID:MH3, Mumbai, Mumbai suburban, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg Districts of Maharashtra and if so, the details thereof and the action taken by the Government thereon?

(a) to (e) Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is promoting establishment of model and aspirational skill centres known as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) in every district for imparting skill training through Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 2016-20. As on 11.07.2018, 613 PMKKs have been allocated across 35 States and UTs covering 548 Districts and 468 Parliamentary Constituencies (PCs). Out of the 613 allocated PMKKs, 462 centres had been established covering Bundelkhand, Assam and Maharashtra. The State-wise number of allocated PMKKs is given at Annexure I.

As on date, 56 PMKKs have been de-allocated in 19 States including four PMKKs in Chitrakoot, Jalaun, Jhansi and Lalitpur districts of Bundelkhand and 7 PMKKs in Mumbai, Mumbai Suburban, Raigarh, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Mumbai North West (PC) and Mumbai North East (PC) in State of Maharashtra due to non-compliance to the timeline to establish the centres as per PMKK Guidelines. However, PMKK has been re-allocated in the district of Jalaun.

Further, re-allocation / allocation for remaining districts have been initiated and the application was invited to set up PMKKs through Request for Proposal (RFP) mode under Phase IV.
