(a) BharatNet project is implemented in a phased manner to provide broadband connectivity to all the Gram Panchayats (GPs) in the country through an optimal mix of media (OFC/Radio/Satellite). Since 2014, out of about 7,40,706 km planned OFC, 5,67,941 km OFC has been laid, under the project as on 28.02.2022.
(b) The State-wise total funds allocated/sanctioned/disbursed under BharatNet Project, including Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, are given in Annexure-I.
