SOCIAL INNOVATION HUB FOR SCs

Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government has any plan to organise a Social Innovation Hub in Delhi to facilitate business ventures and start-ups by Scheduled Caste (SC) community and other weaker sections of the society and if so, the details thereof;

(b) the details and the total number of SC community and other weaker sections who have availed this facility as on date;

(c) whether the Government has any plan to organise such Social Innovation Hub in other States also; and

(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (d): As on date no such scheme is being implemented by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. However, a scheme to promote entrepreneurship and innovation amongst Scheduled Castes and other weaker section of the society is under active consideration of the Department.
