(a) whether any financial assistance has been provided to any Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) for the Ministry sponsored schemes in Rajasthan;
(b) if so, the details thereof during the last three years;
(c) the names of the NGOs which were provided the said financial assistance;
(d) the details of the work done by the said NGOs;
(e) whether the Government has conducted any review of the said work; and
(f) if so, the outcome of the said review?

(a): Yes, Madam.
(b)&(c): Central financial assistance (CFA) totaling about Rs.107 lakh has been provided to eight Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Rajasthan under different schemes of the Ministry during the last three years viz. 2009-10,
2010-11 & 2011-12, as per details furnished in Annexure.
(d): Social Work & Research Centre (SWRC), Tilonia, have organized 6-months Solar Technicians Training Course at Tilonia for rural illiterate/ semiliterate women from different parts of the country. They have also installed 1000 nos. solar lighting systems in the States of Uttrakhand, Rajasthan, J&K and Bihar. The remaining NGOs have organized seminars/ workshops in renewable energy sector, Details are given in Annexure.
(e): The Ministry has so far not conducted any review of the solar lighting systems installed by SWRC as this work was completed recently.
(f): Does not arise.
