Question : South Eastern Coal Fields

(a) the number of ITI diploma holder employees during the last five years and the number of such employees working presently in the South Eastern coal fields;
(b) the year-wise details of the retired employees during the last five years;
(c) the details of the new appointments made against the retired employees during the last five years; and
(d) whether the operation of South Eastern Coal Fields is being done with the help of unskilled contractual employees instead of new appointments as a result of which a lot of irregularities are taking places and if so, the details thereof?

(a): The number of ITI diploma holder employees during the last five years and the number of such employees working presently in South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) are as follows -

(c): In SECL, no new appointments are made against the retired employees, however, during the last five years, employments have been given under Coal India Special Female Voluntary Retirement Scheme (SFVRS), fresh recruitment, employment to Project Affected People (PAPs) against land acquisition and dependent employment as per provisions of National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA), the details of which are given below -
