(a)&(b): Yes, Sir. Organisations have represented requesting the Government to restore commuted portion of pension after 12 years.

(c)&(d): The Fifth Central Pay Commission had recommended restoration of commuted portion of pension after 12 years instead of the present 15 years. The recommendation was examined, and taking into account the financial implications of various recommendations of the Fifth Central Pay Commission, the Government decided not to accept the recommendation relating to restoration of commuted portion of pension after 12 years.
