(b) if so, the details of the funds allocated to the North Eastern States including Assam since the year 2014?

Answer given by the minister

The Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of
North Eastern Region
[Dr. Jitendra Singh]

(a) & (b) As per the extant guidelines, all non-exempted Central Ministries/Departments, are mandated to spend atleast 10% of Gross Budgetary Support (GBS) of Central Sector and Centrally Sponsored Schemes in North Eastern Region (NER). However, no State wise allocations are made and funds are released to the States based on requirements against sanctioned projects/schemes. SIDF is a one-time package that covers projects, prioritized by the State Governments as per their requirement, which, inter alia, include construction of new roads and bridges, re-establishment of new sub-stations/transmission lines, construction/upgradation of hospitals, establishment of schools, water supply projects etc.
