(a) whether the Government proposes to set-up three manufacturing zones for critical power and renewable energy equipment that were announced in
last year‘s budget;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government also proposes to set-up one of the three proposed critical power and renewable energy equipment manufacturing zones in the State of Andhra Pradesh; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d) : Out of the 3 Manufacturing Zones for Power and Renewable Energy Equipment proposed by Ministry of Power and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Finance has accorded in principle approval for setting up one Manufacturing Zone initially as a Pilot within an indicative outlay of Rs. 400 crore.
The selection of location for setting up of Manufacturing Zones will be based on pre-identified parameters. All States or Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV) may participate in the selection process.
