(a) to (c): Pursuant to the budget speech 2016 of the Hon’ble Finance Minister, Ministry
of Human Resource Development in consultation with University Grants Commission
(UGC) is formulating an enabling Regulatory Architecture for 10 Public & 10 Private
Higher Educational Institutions to emerge as World Class Institutions. Public comments
were invited on the draft Guidelines and Regulations latest by 28.10.2016. The inputs
received are under consideration in the Ministry. The identification / selection of the
Institutes, places, time-frame, etc. shall be made after the Guidelines and Regulations
are notified.
