Question : ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCE FOR MAHABALESHWAR FOR HILL STATION

(a) whether environmental clearance for the proposed New Mahabaleshwar Hill Station has been sought by the State Government of Maharashtra;

(b) if so, the norms relating to altitude of a hill station wherein environmental clearance is required;

(c) the altitude of the proposed New Mahabaleshwar Hill Station; and

(d) the time by which clearance is likely to be provided?

(a) No such proposal seeking Environmental Clearance under Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) notification of 2006 or earlier notification of 1994, has been received in the Ministry of Environment and Forests.
