(a) the details of loans provided by Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) for renewable energy projects in the country during each of last three years and the current year, company-wise;
(b) whether the loans disbursed by IREDA have been utilised properly; and
(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) The details of loans provided by Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) for renewable energy projects during last three years and current year are as follows:
2016-17 : Rs. 6593.48 Crore
2017-18: Rs. 8328.38 Crore
2018-19: Rs. 9385.36 Crore
2019-20 (upto 30.09.2019) : Rs. 2960.06 Crore
The company-wise details are given in Annexure.

(b) & (c) IREDA ensures proper utilization of funds disbursed by monitoring the progress of the project implementation as follows:
(i) Report of the Lender’s Engineer on the physical progress of the project
(ii) Inspection of projects before disbursement by IREDA officials
(iii) Chartered Accountant’s certificate and Concurrent Auditor’s report
The loans disbursed during last three years and current year has resulted in commissioning of 5946.24 MW of renewable energy capacity.
