Question : RASHTRIYA BAL SWASTHYA KARYAKRAM



(a) the number of Early Intervention Centres established in district hospitals and health centres in the country, State/UT-wise;

(b) whether the facilities are being provided in district hospitais/health centres to screen children to detect diseases such as heart diseases, birth related defects, deficiencies, diseases and their treatment under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakrarn;

(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and

(d) the corrective measures taken/being taken by the Government to ensure that district hospitals/healthcare centres across the country are fully equipped with technology and medicines to treat birth related defects, deficiencies and diseases?

(a) to (d): As per information available from the States and UTs, 92 District Early Intervention centers have been established, State/UT-wise details is annexed.

The District Early Intervention Centres are established under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya karyakrarn (RBSK) for providing management of children identified with developmental delays and also link children identified with specific diseases, deficiencies and defects at birth with tertiary level health services in case surgical management is required.
