The traffic was suspended in these sections due to breaches/washouts/water flowing above the track etc. at some locations. All the affected railway lines have been repaired and traffic has been restored except on one section viz. Najibabad – Kotdwar (25kms) of Northern Railway.
One pier of Bridge No. 16 in Najibabad – Kotdwar section was damaged due to flash floods on 23.07.2016. The traffic on this route has been suspended till its replacement by new pier. Action has been taken by Northern Railway for construction of new pier.
