(a): The A&N Administration has intimated that a report was submitted by M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation to Administration titled: Action Plan for Development of post-tsunami “New Andamans” during May, 2005. However, there is no specific recommendation in the Report regarding the construction of sluice gates to reclaim the Agriculture land in Southern Group of Islands and Great Nicobar Islands of the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
(b): Does not arise in view of (a) above.
(c): The details of the funds released under Rajiv Gandhi Rehabilitation Package (RGRP) & Additional Central Assistance (ACA) against the funds received is as follows:
