(b) 51.7% (46 imported cranes out of a total of 89 Accident Relief cranes).
(c) & (d): No, Madam. The beats of the existing Accident Relief Cranes are
prescribed in a manner to cover all sections of the railway network,except certain
isolated,low traffic density sections, where alternate means of re-railing equipment
have been provided.
Moreover,Jamalpur Workshop/Eastern Railway is manufacturing Broad Gauge Accident
Relief Cranes to meet the requirement arising out of further gauge conversions, new
lines, etc.
