Question : DOUBLING PROJECTS

(a) the policy and criterian fixed for taking up of new projects of double lines;

(b) the length of double lines in the country, zone- wise; and

(c) the details of the on-going doubling projects in the country, project-wise?

(a): Doubling of single line sections is taken up keeping in view the operational requirements.

(b): The details of zonewise route kilometrage of double/multiple line as on 31.3.2002 is given in Appendix-I.

(c): The details of projectwise on-going doubling projects in the country is given in Appendix-II.
