Question : INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL OF INDIA

(a) whether the State of Goa will be the permanent venue of the IFFI in the years to come

(b) whether Goa is certified to possess necessary infrastructure for the same;

(c) if so, the fund earmarked by the Union Government and the State Government of Goa for the purpose; and

(d) if not, the steps taken by the Government to provide necessary infrastructure for the same?

(a) to (d) The Government of India has signed an MoU with the Government Of Goa to hold the International Film Festival of India in Goa in 2004. The infrastructure has been built by the Government of Goa and its expenditure has been met by the Government of Goa.
