Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:
(a) the number of health workers covered under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package: Insurance Scheme for Health Workers Fighting against COVID-19 along with the details thereof, State/UT-wise; and
(b) the details of the benefits likely to be extended to health workers under the said scheme?

(a): Approximately 22.12 lakh health workers throughout the country are covered under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package: Insurance Scheme for Health Workers Fighting against COVID-19. State/UT-wise details of such workers is not maintained.
(b): The Scheme provides comprehensive personal accident cover of Rs. 50 lakh to the family of each health worker on loss of his/her life due to COVID-19 and accidental death on account of COVID-19 related duty.
