Question : Research and Referral Hospitals in Rural Areas

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government proposes to set up research and referral hospitals in the rural parts of the country;

(b) if so, whether the Government proposes to follow China model in setting up such medical colleges and hospitals; and

(c) if so, the action taken by the Government thereon and if not, the reasons therefor?
