(a) to (c): No incident of forcible conversion has been reported. However, Article 25(1) of the Constitution of India provides that subject to public order, morality and health, and to the other provisions of part III, all persons are equally entitled to freedom of conscience and the right freely to profess, practise and propagate religion.
`Public Order` and `Police` are State subjects as per the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution of India. As such, the registration, investigation and detection of crime as well as the prevention of crime are primarily the responsibility of the State Governments.
