(a) Whether the Government have accorded legal recognition to sex phone calls in India ;
(b) If so, the details thereof ;
(c) whether this business is going on with the approval of the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited ;
(d) whether the MTNL has provided them specific telephone numbers ; and
(e) if so, the reasons therefor and if not, the steps being taken by the Government to stop sex phone racket ?

(c) & (d): No, Sir. No permission has been granted for such a service. The special Nos. allotted are for premium rate service.
(e) The service enables Professionals and Information providers to offer advice/ Consultation, forecast in any field, fortune telling, share market consultation, job consultation and information on sports etc. using telecom. network which is the fastest means. The service provider(Professional/Information Provider) is allotted a PRM service No. by the MTNL(Network Operator) and this No.can be accessed by telephone subseribers/Information seekers all over Delhi and Mumbai irrespective of the location of the Information Provider.
