Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT & POVERTY ALLEVIATION ( SHRI JAGMOHAN )

(a)to(c): Unauthorised structures which had come up in Kh.No. 1337 of Rangpuri village were demolished while taking over physical possession from Land Acquisition Collector on 5.7.2000. Unauthorised structures could not be demolished in Kh.No.1338 due to law & order problem and rain and, therefore, the physical possession of the land could not be taken over by DDA. On the request of residents of that area on 18.7.2000 to Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation Minister, it has been decided that the demolition may be kept in abeyance till further orders, primarily because of rains. No new entrants would be allowed into the cluster.

(d)&(e): No, Sir.

(f)&(g): Delhi Police is conducting a survey to identify the illegal Bangladeshi immigrants. During the survey 982 illegal immigrant Bangladeshis have been identified out of whom 276 have been deported and 10 Bangladeshis have been arrested under the Foreigner`s Act. Rest are awaiting deportation.
