Question : Human Rights Violations by Security Forces

(a) whether the Government has formulated any policy to curb human rights violations of security forces personnel who come under attack by unruly mobs while performing duties;

(b) if so, the details thereof and if not the reasons therefor; and

(c) the steps taken by the Government to put in place a mechanism to deal with such brazen acts of human rights violations of armed forces?

(a) to (c) : Incidents of violence or obstruction by mobs against members of security forces engaged in discharge of duty are dealt under the appropriate provisions of law including the Indian Penal Code.
